Utah is such a beautiful state and has endless recreational opportunities. One of the best features of Utah, however, is the uniqueness of Southern Utah. Oh sure, the mountains in Northern Utah are spectacular and offer their own array of fun and beauty, but travel a few hours south and you get this type of amazingness. (ok, so amazingness isn’t a word but I can’t quite put into words how beautiful this is in real life)

We actually went to Moab for Jeep Safari which is a 4×4 extravaganza over Easter Weekend. It was such fun and we saw some crazy stuff like this:

Oh, but wait….you see this rock here?

Guess what was on top of it? Two CRAZY rock climbers! We couldn’t believe it. They were hollering down at the valley and we (ahem) my big-voiced hubby yelled back. It was pretty fun because they heard and responded a few more times before disappearing.

We also hiked to Delicate Arch in Moab’s Arches National Park. It was quite the climb but well worth it in the end:

I balanced my camera on a rock for this shot which made my hubby a little nervous. I thought it was worth the risk, no?

For one, fall is the busy season for family portraits and I’m already getting quite booked out (if you’re interested in a session, please contact me asap so I can get you scheduled), but the other major thing that has kept me hoppin’ is….. *drum roll* I got married!!

Being a photographer has its perks (beyond spending time with my clients and capturing priceless images for them of course). One of those perks is that some of my closest friends are also incredibly talented photographers. Case in point, take a look at Melissa Davis and Tammy Jarman. As two of my best friends I was ecstatic when they agreed to be my photographers for my special day. And as you can see from the pics below, it’s not hard to tell why!

These are from my bridal shoot….Melissa and Tammy have been anxious to post these and share, but held off so Mike wouldn’t get a sneak peek of my dress, LOL. Check out their blogs too — they’ve got some more great shots there.
