Wedding and portrait season is in full swing so needless to say, things have been busy for me lately. A little while ago I was contacted by this sweet girl who wanted to take some photos of a different variety than what you normally see here on my blog. But hey, I’d actually been itching to do an intimate session so you can imagine my excitement when we scheduled.
What is an intimate session exactly? Well, boudoir (pronounced boo-dwahr) is the official name of intimate sessions and is a French word meaning woman’s dressing room. Boudoir photography is all about celebrating your beauty as a woman by creating playful, yet sexy images.
So why should you have schedule your session?
The real question is why not?! Seriously though, aside from the lightening speed at which life passes by, think about capturing and preserving your true beauty as you are today. Of course, giving boudoir pictures to your husband or someone special makes a wonderful and usually unexpected gift *wink wink*
Don’t worry about any imperfections you may have because honestly, you are beautiful exactly the way you are. You are loved exactly the way you are. My job as a photographer is to emphasize your positive attributes and deemphasize those areas you might be self-conscious about, but trust me, you’re beautiful just the way you are so don’t hesitate to capture and celebrate your true beauty.
Need another reason to schedule your session? How about a sale? Folks, I’ve never done a discount that deep before and given how busy I am I’m not sure I ever will again. I must be crazy!
