My faithful blog follower Alette guess correctly — the pic is of an elevator! It was taken in New York City at one of the Marriott hotels. My family and I were touring the city and heard that you could ride the elevator up to the top floor and get a great view of the city…. so we tried it out, but couldn’t figure out where to see the skyline. LOL
Anyhow, the pic is on the ground level looking up and each one of those grate looking things is the guard on each floor’s hallway. Pretty cool, eh?
