[the new blog]

It’s official – the new blog!  Tell me what you think!  There will be a few more changes…just odds and ends and tidying up a bit, but I’m excited for this all the same  :D 

 So, a little about me for those who are new ’round these parts…. I live in the country with my best friend Mike and our daughter.  My photography business primarily serves the Wasatch front in Weber, Davis, Morgan, and Salt Lake Counties; although I am available for further travel if necessary. 

My love of photography and the arts began when I was a small child.  In fact, I think I was 6 or 7 when I asked for and received my first camera for Christmas – undoubtedly it was my favorite present that year!  In high school I took a black and white photography class and learned how to develop film and prints, and let me tell you, it was amazing.  The rotating door took me to another place where I could freeze moments in time and watch them appear in the chemical baths.  I absolutely loved that class.

These days I shoot with a digital SLR camera and my darkroom is incorporated into my computer, but the ability to create beautiful, timeless art still remains.  Aside from my wonderful family, photography is my life.  I dream it, I think about it all day long, it consumes me.  And I love it.
